The Kielo dress and jumpsuit are wonderfully casual, yet stylish pieces of clothing! You can sew both variations either with or without sleeves. The dress has a neck band, and a vent at the back hem to add room for movement. The armholes of a sleeveless dress are finished with a bias binding. There is a vent with a button closure at the back of the jumpsuit, and its neckline is finished with a facing.

Fabric suggestions

For all variations, use a drapey but sturdy jersey that stretches about 30 – 50%. The garment has quite a bit of volume, so make sure your jersey isn’t too stretchy and heavy, as it can lose its shape and change the proportions of the garment.

Materials & supplies

  • Tee: Stay tape, 30 cm (12”)
  • Dress: Fusible knit interfacing, 35 cm (3/8 yd)

This pattern comes with plenty of ease. Choose your size according to the full bust measurement.

The Lahja dressing gown is a casually straight-cut unisex garment. The Finnish word ‘lahja’ means ‘gift’ and, as the name suggests, these dressing gowns are a great gift either for your friend or yourself!

There are two versions; a shorter knee-length gown with cropped sleeves, and a longer version that extends to midleg and has full-length sleeves. Both variations feature large patch pockets and a belt fastening.

Fabric suggestions

Choose a non-stretch fabric. Depending on the desired look, choose a coarse fabric, for example natural linen, terry cloth, or honeycomb fabric or, for a lighter version, pick a drapey rayon or satin. The sample garments are made from stonewashed linen.

Materials & supplies

  • Short: Fusible interfacing, 125 cm (1 3/8 yd)
  • Long: Fusible interfacing, 155 cm (1 6/8 yd)

The Ninni culottes are a pair of delightfully simple elastic-waist pants! The pants have a generous amount of ease and come with handy side pockets.

    Sizes: US0-24

    Diffuculty: Easy

This pattern comes with plenty of ease. Check the finished measurements for your size and, if necessary, select a size smaller than usually if you want the garment to be more fitted.

Fabric: Light weight or medium weight drapey knit fabric. The sample is made from soft velour, but you can also use light weight sweatshirting, medium weight jersey or other similar knit fabric.

The garment can also be sewn using woven fabrics. Choose a light to medium weight woven fabric with some drape. The instructions are written for knits, but if your fabric is woven, refer to the sections in the instructions highlighted with the exclamation mark.

    Materials & supplies

    • With thick fabrics: Pocket bag fabric, 30 cm (3/8 yd)
    • Fusible knit interfacing, 25 cm (¼ yd)
    • 3.5 cm (1”) elastic, your waist circumference

The Helmi pattern includes two variations with details you can mix and match! The straight-cut blouse has elements from the classic trench coat, such as the cape and sleeve straps. The rounded collar and slightly curved hem with slits add a touch of soft femininity. The more streamlined tunic variation is also straight-cut and has a simple stand-up collar, half sleeves, and a curved hem. Both variations have a discreet and elegant hidden button placket.

      Fabric suggestions

For both variations, choose a light weight or medium weight non-stretch shirting. Your fabric can either be drapey, such as rayon or crepe, or a bit sturdier, such as linen. If your fabric is coarse, choose a light and slippery lining fabric to line the cape with.
