Thirteen-year-old Freya Wilson has always had a love of playing football and joined her first team at eight years old. During lockdown Freya started having seizures and was later diagnosed with a brain tumour (dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumour) on her right frontal lobe 🧠. After being prescribed medication to control the seizures throughout the summer of 2020 she finally got her operation date through to remove the tumour on the 20th October 2020. After a long recovery she was finally allowed to continue playing football in March 2021 and is now back training and playing matches every week.
