From the bodycon-bandage dress master, comes this late 1990's example by Hervé Legér He started the bodycon-bandage dress look of the 1990's, that would then go on to become the 'IT' dress for anyone with money to spend or someone to impress (ahem, Housewives franchise). His gowns are a bit rarer, but beautiful none-the-less. This example is a versatile eveningwear-to-cocktail look, in mainly black, but with a splash of red hot heat near the decolletage. The sleeves are slightly off-shoulder, with special sticky tape material sewn inside to help them stay put. The entire body of the dress is created by using varying width of elastic tape, wrapping around, and entirely hand-stitched in place -that's right, the entire dress is ALL sewn by hand, down to the zipper!! (though, the edge of the tape pieces has been finished with an overlock stitch, by machine). The center front features an ample leg slit -thank goodness, otherwise you really would not be able to walk- which is edged in one length of elastic tape that runs vertically down the front slit, around the bottom hem, back up the other side of slit, and around the waistline, in a beautifully accenting point. Dress is unlined, and features a center back nylon invisible zipper, hook & eye closure. This dress is in essentially immaculate, mint condition, with no signs of wear and no flaws to note. Absolutely, Museum-worthy. Please review photographs for full details. Label reads 'Herve Leger Couture, made in France, 90% viscose rayon/10%elastic spandex, dry clean only, size Small' (please review measurements, as it actually fits more like an Extra to Extra Extra Small) Measurements*: - 13.5 inches across from shoulder to shoulder - 28 inch bust stretches up to 31 inches maximum - 22 inch waist stretches up to 24 inches maximum - 30 inch hips stretches up to 34 inches maximum - 54 inches total length from shoulder to hem *please keep in mind that measurements do stretch due to fabric nature.
