General Informatio: Production Time: These items are custom made to order and shipping time approximately 5-8 weeks . Shipping Methods and Costs: Fedex Prices are threw the roof for Oversized shipments. There is also a surcharge (these usually end after the Sep threw year end holidays but FEDEX has extended them Toyboxxx Tuncks are both heavy and in the case of the XL considered oversized by all ground carriers. Besides oversize charges they also have additional “Peak” surcharges for Nov. and Dec. and now for Covid Virus. These fee’s change both yearly and now randomly in response of conditions so it is impossible to know in advance of the precise cost as it can vary 30% or more. The shipping amount listed is an estimate to give buyers and idea of their end costs. As most orders are customized and written up separate from the sample listings we will find the best shipping price for your shipment and it will be applied as follows: Best Price from either our Fedex account,’s Fedex account. plus a $65 packing charge (mostly materials) plus 8.5% ’s fee’s (Yes charges their markup on shipping) If the quoted amount is off by more than $5 we will issue a refund after we know the final cost. International Shipping Options: We can and have shipped our trunks world wide. While Air 3-10 day delivery can be quite expensive we have found several ways to cut those costs significantly. One is by using a Freight Forwarder here in US. We ship to them at our typical US rates then you set up account with them and control your shipment from there. Typically these cost are 1/2 or even less than regular air prices and can get to you in less than a week. Alternatively there are some “ Hot Line” pricing available via the carriers. Please contact us prior to any orders so we can give you the options and a estimate of shipping cost. Lastly for those in the near by area the trunks can be picked up at our studio Order Cancelation / Returns: As each box is a custom built we can not cancel an order once procurement of materials has started on your order. They are also non-returnable other than for shipping or other damage. Note on Rolling Furniture vs Travel Trunks: Note: These Storage Trunks should be considered rolling furniture vs Traditional traveling wardrobe trunks. Travel wardrobes are made as light as possible for transport. Their drawers are designed to hold lightweight clothing and were often made of cardboard and not designed for the weight of leather, rubber or metal objects. These items need solid wood drawers with slides. The combined weight of the trunk, and even a modest collection of items is quite a bit more than can be handled as luggage though they can with the help of 2nd person be loaded in a vehicle but they are not meant for shipping or airline travel. Design History: Over time my collection of adult toys, bondage gear and erotic apparel grew and while living in NYC I didn’t have the luxury of a playroom or even a dedicated closet to store it all in. Given the limited space I like many resorted to dumping the growing collection in a piece luggage or flat case under the bed. This was obviously less than optimal. I often found the black on black items hard to distinguish in low light and no matter how organized the whole kit would deteriorate into a tangled mess. As a Interior designer I had worked with vintage wardrobes and while they have great appeal as objects they were not quite right and each would have to be handled as a restoration project but they did provide the blue print for our rolling furniture trunks.
