While cotton barely takes up 3% of agricultural land, it accounts for 16% of all the insecticides and 7% of all herbicides used worldwide. Health effects of pesticides range from skin rash to hormone disruption and cancer. That's why choosing organic over conventional cotton is so important - especially for the little ones who because of their smaller size are disproportionally exposed to the harmful effects of these harsh toxins.
